At Peachester State School our aim is to encourage children's learning beyond the classroom. Our select extra curricular activities and clubs enable children to learn new skills and improve existing skills.
Robotics
In 2021, Peachester State School began our journey into the Lego First Robotics Competitions. Achieving an award in our very first competition, with repeated success in 2022.
Students engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering - building and programming LEGO robots that nagivate different missions of a robot game.
Sport
Each year, all students participate in 4 different school-wide carnivals:
Term 1 : Cross Country
Term 2 : Athletics Carnival
Term 3 : Ball Games Carnival
Term 4 : Swimming Carnival
The events see a friendly but fierce competition between Stanley (blue) and Coochin (red) houses, each team competing for the trophy.
Interschool Sport
The Year 5-6 students participate in interschool sporting events, held at Glasshouse Mountains each term.
Lunch time clubs
Different clubs run at different times throughout the year, but we strive to always have a range of activities for all of our students. These include:
Environmental Club: Students learn about recycling, our worm farm, using mulch, propagating our Richmond Birdwing butterfly vine and keeping our school grounds beautiful.
Chess Club: Open for all students, this is not only fun, but aides in students' critical development.
Arts & Craft: A great way to interact with peers whilst enjoying students' creative sides.
