Peachester State School grounds are quite expansive and attractive with many native trees and groomed gardens. Students have plenty of space for outdoor play and exploration.
We have a student created rainforest walk and Bush Tucker Garden for students to learn about indigenous plant species. Incorporated into the walk is an outdoor classroom for teachers and students to gather.
A separate outdoor area for younger children is the Enchanted Garden. This little garden is fun for young children to engage in creative and imaginative play.
We have two irrigated ovals, separate senior and junior playgrounds, a sandpit and tennis court promoting physical activity during scheduled physical education class, recess and lunch time.
Classrooms, library and technology centre are all connected by covered walkways. Centred in the school site plan is an all-weather covered area providing shade and protection for a variety of day to day activities.
A short walk for the classrooms is our organically grown produce patch, garden shed, shade house and chicken coop. Here children get hands-on-experience of planting and growing vegetables for cooking in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen.
All classrooms are used as single teaching spaces. Some teaching areas are capable of being opened (concertina doors) to provide cooperative learning areas for two classes. All classrooms are air-conditioned and have access to interactive white boards and in-class computer access. Peachester State School proudly offers and maintains,
