In 2024, we are commencing an exciting new initiative with VIRB, with our very own School Wellbeing Officer.
Leann Fuller is passionate about mental health and wellbeing. She is highly experienced, having worked at Baringa State School previously.
All VIRB staff and volunteers are empowered and equipped to champion a child safe culture and are committed to the highest standards of safety and care in our work with children, young people and families and create a new trajectory toward their potential.
The School Wellbeing Officer can include support and guidance about ethics, values, relationships and spiritual issues; the provision of student wellbeing; and enhancing engagement with the broader community.
In addition to the minimum requirements of these wellbeing roles, VIRB staff have a whole School community mindset utilising a 'Culture Focussed Approach' (CFA) to see young people thrive at a values level.
This is done through a number of ways;
- Social & Emotional Programs
- Intervention Programs
- Classroom Culture content
- Training for Teachers in our CFA Paradigm
- Parent Information Sessions
- One on One and Group Coaching Framework
...and much more.
