Common Name: Mat Rush

Scientific Name: Lomandra longifolia

Indigenous Use/Other
The starchy white bases of the lomandra were chewed by Indigenous people. The seeds were pounded to make flour. The strappy leaves were used to weave baskets as well as for  making eel traps and nets. {https://www.greeningaustralia.org.au}
